Samba rhythm on Bongos #1–2

Bongos are not a traditional instrument in Brazilian music, but they can be played in any style, for example in a small acoustic project. This video, which opens the series, shows two versions of the samba performance. The first one is very simple, reflecting the main rhythmic accents in samba, played on surdo, on tamborime and also on shaker. The second rhythm retains the basic samba accents and is similar to the Puerto Rican style of Plena.
