Traditional Russian ballad - Эй, ухнем! - sung by famed Russian bass singer Leonid Kharitinov - ( Leonid’s Youtube page - & his official Russian website - or his official English language website - ) - as a member of the famous Red Army Song and Dance Ensemble of the Soviet Army (now known as the Alexandrov Ensemble). The shooting of this clip was made at Kurkino, near Moscow by a former German cameraman of Hitler’s in 1965. Definitely one of the finest renditions of this old Russian folk song ever recorded (unfortunately, the quality of the recording is not up to present day standards but the incredible power of Leonid’s voice is readily apparent).
