Carpe Diem lecture by Robin Williams as Prof. Keating in Dead Poets Society [EDITED]

“Carpe diem“ suggests Prof. Keating to his students in his first class with them (outside the classroom). He is citing Horatio Ode 1:1. “Carpe diem“ can be traslated as “pluck the day“. Pluck the day as you would pluck a flower. “To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time“ is a 1648 poem by Robert Herrick. The first stanza reads: Gather ye Rose-buds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying: And this same flower that smiles to day, To morrow will be dying.
