Make a Chain Link Table Runner

Let’s make a new table runner! I decided I’m done with winter and ready for spring, so I need a pretty new table runner. If you’d like to join me in making this table runner, you’ll need the following fabric: *28 charm squares (or 28- 5 inch squares of fabric in a variety of colors and patterns) *1/2 yard of background fabric *1/2 yard of backing fabric *just over 1/4 yard of binding fabric (10 inches of yardage) *some batting--you can piece together batting scraps to get the size you need. **Cut your charm squares in half, then cut one stack of halves in half again. From the background cut: ** 18 2.5“ squares **8 5.5“ squares, which are then cut in half on the diagonal **4 strips of fabric that are 2.5“ wide and width-of-fabric long. For your binding, cut 4 strips at 2.5“ wide and width-of-fabric long (about 40“) Note: These fabric quantities will make a table runner that is 62“ long and 15/5“ wide. If you’d like yours to be bigger or smaller, adjust the fabric accordingly. I’m an old hand at sewing and quilting, but I’m still a novice at making videos. My laptop ran out of storage space in the middle of the editing process so I had to put it on hold till I figured out how to safely clear up space without deleting anything terribly important. I still managed to delete some video footage that I had intended to use and had to re-record a couple of segments.
