Reviewing the deplorable 1981 Mr Olympia, in which Franco Columbu, following on the heels of his friend and fellow bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger the year before, made an incredible comeback to reclaim bodybuilding’s most prestigious title. Franco had noticeable gynecomastia and no cuts whatsoever in his legs, yet somehow managed to defeat a trio of formidable contenders who were all in peak form: Tom Platz, Danny Padilla, and Roy Callander, who would go on to place 3rd, 5th, and 4th respectively.
