Boat Projects - Covid-19 Lockdown - Grand Cayman - Hallberg-Rassy 54 Cloudy Bay Mar-May’20. S20 Ep18

Following a quick island tour, we completed several boat projects and boat maintenance while on Covid-19 lockdown in Grand Cayman. Installing solar panels, making dinghy covers, sunshades and more. Having arrived to Grand Cayman from Jamaica just hours before the border closed, we settled into being stranded here for a month or more. Our plans to cruise Cuba and Mexico were now completely out the window. But what a perfect place to get locked down. A safe British island, on a free mooring, in crystal clear water and a coral garden below us. The cruise liners had already been banished before we arrived, but there were still a few tourists around and most businesses were open. So, we quickly toured Grand Cayman island while we could. After one week, curfews were steadily enforced and people could only leave their homes for food shopping or getting take-out food. Even walking on the beautiful beaches was soon banned! Along with a few other moored yachts, we were the only people allowed to swim
