P3Dv4 | GTX 960 vs 1080 | Is GPU important ?

I was thinking about upgrading my GTX 960 but i was in hesitation because I had read somewhere that it’s too much for 1080p and i should take 1060 or 1070. In FSX and earlier P3D (32-bit) the GPU did not make big difference in perfomace (it was mostly about CPU) but since 64-bit P3Dv4 i felt my 960 was a weak thing in the system.
