The “Rod Steward“ manufacturing process | Shovel Research

Here’s a look at the production of the “Rod Steward“ - a bag support I designed around the popular (and supreme!) Ron’s Bikes Fab’s chest. Questions or comments? Leave ’em below! How it works: the crossbar simply loops through the webbing underneath a hardbody roll-top style bag, and the bent rod triangulates the weight in relation to the bicycle’s frame or fork. The result is a very secure setup. All components are CNC machined by me in Portland, Oregon from 6061-T6 aluminum in small batches.
