DIY Mushroom House Using Cardboard & Clay Paste for Wall Light, Fairy Door, Pen Holder, Vase

The fairy house builder was running around the garden dressed in a gown barefoot when she stumbled upon a giant mushroom covered in mud and dirt. She picked it up and turned it into a beautiful mushroom house for her friends, the fairies. The house was designed in different way this time. It can be used as wall light, pen/ pencil holder or a vase to decorate your study/ work table. Or, put it on the wall as your fairy door. It’s cool, isn’t it? The builder used cardboard and paper waste to form the mushroom head like when we do paper mache. Then the whole house covered with clay paste. I use texture paste recipe as basic ingredients where I mix plaster of Paris with flour and water. This way, the paste will dry hard but not too fast – allowing me to create wood grain texture on the door. I add more plaster and flour to get thick paste.
