Ankara under water!! Crazy rains flooded the capital of Turkey / Ankarada yağmur sel

Heavy rain hit the Turkish capital at noon on June 7. Several districts of Ankara were literally under water. The water level in some streets of the Yenimahalle and Kecioren districts exceeded one meter. Shops and houses were flooded, several cars drifted in the water. Fire brigades evacuated people from flooded buildings through windows and balconies. In the Ivedik Organized Industrial Zone, firefighters rescued the passengers of a minibus. 11 people were at risk of drowning in an eyewear factory warehouse as the water level approached 2 meters. The workers were pulled out of the water and taken to hospitals in the city. Flood waters filled the first floor of Fetih Anatolian High School. Frightened students were rescued by firefighters. Ankara authorities said a total of 401 aid messages had been received. A heavy rain warning was received from the Ankara governor’s office for today as well.
