Resident Evil Mansion recreation in Unreal Engine

After almost 2.5 years working on this project off and on, I’m finally happy enough to call this project complete. I am excited to be moving onto bigger and better things! This project is a recreation of the Spencer Mansion featured in 2002’s ’Resident Evil’ remake. I fell in love with this mansion the moment I saw it. Back in 2002, the game featured static environments which were pre-rendered, allowing the character to walk from shot-to-shot with minimal environment interaction. Utilizing static backgrounds allowed Capcom to achieve the highest quality graphics for the time, but this also impacted the immersive 3D experience we see in games today. My goal behind this project, was to create a more immersive environment utilising today’s technical power. I hope you enjoy it.
