One against four fighters! NO ONE EXPECTED THIS! A bloody tournament for the best knockout fighters!

Thermopyle Team Combat channel @UCT0EBcUlDDYsGHDrzat5EVw Nowadays the martial arts segment on YouTube is filled with a variety of freak fights and freak formats of all stripes. And amidst all this clownery, I somehow forgot that a little more than four years ago in Russia a truly new, cool, hair-raising and very spectacular format of martial arts was born. Unfortunately, the matter was limited to one single tournament, although the potential of these competitions, in my opinion, was simply cosmic. On December 1, 2018, the Thermopyle Team Combat team fighting tournament, popularly dubbed Sparta after the name of the feature film of the same name, took place in St. Petersburg. The creators of the new sport were the legendary fighter and promoter Nikolai Kudryashov, who was at the forefront of the creation of M-1 and mixed martial arts in our country back in the 90s, and businessman Daniel Litvinsky. Eight teams from different cities competed that evening in the Grand Prix tournament for elimination according to special rules. In the ring called Thermopylae there are four people on each side at once. Only two could fight at a time, and as soon as one of the opponents dropped out, he was replaced by the next fighter, and so on until one of the teams was completely eliminated. An unusual ring with a format of 10 meters by 2 meters, the rules of the fight, maximally aimed at dynamic striking, because not only wrestling was prohibited, but even the Thai clinch, as well as team compositions in which there were quite a few titled fighters from boxing, Muay Thai and kickboxing . All this created a truly explosive mixture. Today we will watch the first quarterfinal match, in which the fighters of the AS Team and Kuznya teams competed. And you, dear friends, please write in the comments how you like this format of fights and would you like tournaments of this format to be revived and again delight us with spectacular fights. #knockout #Sparta #fights
