Activities from Blue Heron School: Pussy Willow Drawing

Today we learn how to make a pussy willow drawing using finger paints. These soft, silvery, tufts resemble the paws of cats, which is how they got their name. The catkins of the pussy willow are actually flowers before they fully bloom. The soft hairs insulate the early blooming flower from cold temperatures. #signsofspring #catkinfingerprints
