Poem and actions: Miss Polly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick. (Cross arms over stomach and twist side to side.) She phoned for the doctor to come quick, quick, quick. (Hold “phone“ to one ear and dial or push buttons with the other hand.) The doctor came with his bag and his hat. (Hold “bag“ with one hand and place the other hand on your head.) He knocked on the door with a rat-a-tat-tat. (Knock at an imaginary door.) He looked at the dolly and he shook his head. (Look down and shake head back and forth.) He said, “Miss Polly, put her straight to bed.“ (Shake one finger.) He wrote on a paper for a pill, pill, pill.
