Tips on Obtaining Smooth Contact Pressure in Ansys Mechanical — Lesson 3
Analyzing contact pressure results is important in many mechanical systems including but not limited to brake systems in automobiles, engine camshafts, various kinematic mechanisms, interference fits, industrial systems, etc. As a result, to accurately understand the performance of these systems achieving smooth and valid contact pressure results becomes important. However, contact problems are complex, especially when contact areas change during the analysis, hence getting smooth contact pressure is inherently challenging.
