Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (Russian emigration), 1922 Donate & Support: This monarchist song is an appeal of the great poet of Russian emigration Sergej Bekhtejev, an officer of the White Army and a devoted supporter of the last emperor Nicholas II. It can be considered a true march of monarchistically inclined emigrants, who carried the ideas of reconquering lost Russia and saving its enslaved people - in the song you hear the forgotten voice of the Czar, convening his faithful knights without fear and reproach for a holy war. In this video, this poem is set to music and performed by the “Gromoglas” band. Portrayed by a Russian knight from the painting by Konstantin Vasil’jev, symbolizing the timeless context and sense of the song.
