The nymph Echo met Narcissus and fell in love with him. But when he sees the nymph, the young man remains cold and pushes her away. Narcissus rejects everyone’s love, and the angry goddess Aphrodite punishes him. One day, leaning towards the stream, he sees his reflection in the water and falls in love with him. Unable to leave, he dies, turning into a beautiful flower with a stupefying sweet smell.
