A lesson in love to a Jew

“I want to tell you a story about my rabbi, Rabbi Yitzhak Zilber. It was a wintry day; the rain was drizzling. He was running as usual to deliver a lesson in the Geula neighborhood, and suddenly… he encountered a rude young man who wasn’t looking his way and pushed the elderly rabbi, causing him to fall into a puddle. The rabbi, unable to rise immediately, lifted his head to the heavens and exclaimed: ‘Creator of the Universe, I have fallen by myself. It is not his fault.’ To avoid, God forbid, blaming another Jew, he saw in the other Jew his soul, not his actions. This is… the Torah, which fills the heart of a true righteous man.”
