Brunswick Heads Breakwater Opened (1962)

Brunswick Heads, New South Wales, Australia. Title reads ’Premier Opens £240,000 Man Made Harbour’. MS. Small explosion in small quarry. MS. The rock which has been blasted out is loaded into small trucks. MS. Small truck drives up high ramp and tips load into crushing machine. MS. A conveyor belt carries the small pieces of rock to the huge mixers where it becomes concrete. Various shots of giant concrete blocks which have been made from the crushed rock. Various shots of the large concrete blocks being loaded into barges for transport down river. MS. Barge with three concrete blocks on passes camera. MS. The three concrete blocks finish the rest of there journey by rail cars. Various shots of the rail car moving up to drop concrete block into the sea. Block disappears under water. LS.
