Baarack the sheep shorn of 35kg fleece after being found roaming in rural Australia

A rogue sheep found wandering in rural Victoria has been shorn of his heavily overgrown 35kg fleece. Nicknamed Baarack by his rescuers, the merino ram was taken to Edgar’s Mission farm sanctuary, where the fleece was removed to save his life. ’He was in a bit of a bad way,’ Kyle Behrend of the sanctuary said. ’He was underweight and, due to all of the wool around his face, he could barely see’ Mammoth woolly: Baarack the overgrown sheep shorn of his 35kg fleece ► The Guardian publishes independent journalism, made possible by supporters.
