“Tennessee Whiskey“ is a country song written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove, which was originally recorded by American country music artist David Allan Coe in 1981. American singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton recorded an R&B-influenced cover of the song for his debut studio album Traveller released in 2015.
This song has just two chords; A major and B minor. As the B minor chord is tricky for some, an easier option is use a capo at the 2nd fret and play the chords G major and A minor, which I teach in the video.
We’ll also look at the simple lead line, which I teach towards the end of the video!
