Ekatherina Shakhmatova - Taki Rari (Yma Sumac) Ekatherina Shakhmatova was born in Ukraine. She graduated from the Kharkiv National University of Arts. I.P. Kotlyarevsky as an opera singer and singing teacher. A laureate of both Ukrainian and international competitions, Ekatherina’s repertoire is vast and spans over several styles, from classic to musical to rock.
