Hopeful Skies 135: “Joyride“ (Melodic Progressive House Mix by Cloudcage)

“Hopeful Skies“ is a weekly series where I highlight some of the best recent tracks in the progressive house scene. Each mix includes several of the most recent tracks that I think will become classics in no time, though I slip in some long-time classics here and there too. In addition to progressive house, I also show some love to deep house and trance as well. While I’m away on a six-week trip to Japan, I’ve had some of the greatest producers of the MPH scene take on Hopeful Skies’ mixing duties while I’m gone. The fourth set is by Cloudcage, a young producer from Massachusetts who has rapidly climbed the ranks of the melodic house scene’s greatest producers. His soft, emotional sound, combined with the beautiful narratives weaved through his work, have captured the ears of many fans, which least year culminated in his collaboration with Feathervane, “Nimbus,“ being voted as Monstercat Silk’s #1 track of the year for their Best of 2022 compilation. This mix showcases Ben’s incredible taste in music, including some excellent melodic pieces from bigger labels and some delightful unreleases tracks. You’ll certainly enjoy this amazing mix!
