Do Giant Fantasy Swords Make SENSE After All?

Obviously in fantasy literature / movies / games anything goes, and sometimes the craziest stuff is the most fun. Internal logic and aspects of realism can enhance immersion and flesh out the world. It’s also just fun to deliberately over-analyze how practical a weapon design would really be. However, I can get a little over-zealous with that...
