The Beauty Of Being Deaf

Paying respect to National Deaf History Month and celebrating the beauty within the deaf and hard of hearing communities, New York-based genderless streetwear brand PRIVATE POLICY collaborates with activist, artist, and actor Chella Man to turn his distinctive artwork into ear jewelry designs highlighting the beauty of being deaf. Launching March 15, 2021, 50% of the profit from pre-ordering will go to the Deaf QueerResource Center, available as limited edition. The campaign video is videographed underwater with a full BIPOC deaf community cast wearing the jewelry and using sign language to read a poem, the result is an emotional, breathtaking, and powerful film. This capsule collection has turned Chella’s dream into a reality.
