ABBA SOS, Rock Me, Dancing Queen

(HQ Remaster) ., Rock Me (3:13), and Dancing Queen (6:09) are digitally enhanced performances by ABBA in 1976. The world’s best-selling pop group appeared live and lip-sync on New Rock Concert in Hollywood, CA, USA on October 22, 1976. Did you know that Dancing Queen was actually inspired by the Queen of England? According to Gala Bingo, band member Bjorn Ulvaeus was inspired to write the hit after a party at Glamis Castle in Angus, Scotland. It’s the current home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne. Check out the new Knowing Me, Knowing You video: Movieweb: There has been no official announcement from the Mamma Mia team for a new third installation. The Mamma Mia stage creator revealed the live show was intended as a trilogy. Judy Craymer says Mamma Mia 3 is now on the way with four more ABBA songs. It is difficult to imagine where the story could go after Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again with a third movie, especially with the first two having already squeezed the pop group’s discography dry. Craymer goes on to mention that she intends to use the four new ABBA numbers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus have written for the virtual concert they’ve planned with Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. Of course, the main appeal of the Mamma Mia franchise is in the rousing song-and-dance numbers and infectious enthusiasm of the cast held together with a wafer-thin plot. The upcoming sequel needs only to ensure that it has a sufficient number of ABBA hits for audiences to sing along to, and fans will forgive any stretching the movie has to do in terms of plot. Source: Movieweb Although it’s been 30 years since they last released any new material, ABBA is making their much-awaited come back in 2020, possibly sometime in September. They plan to release at least five new songs to the public, according to band member Benny Andersson. Since they reunited in 2018, the band has been in the process of recording new material, but they have been delayed due to technical issues, leading to numerous postponements. Also in the works is an ABBA hologram tour, but this has unfortunately been delayed along with their new album. Source: Beyond the Stage #abba #sos #dancingqueen #rockme
