Travis Orbin - “Alias“ Interpretation

“Alias“ closes the album and is every bit as strong as the opening tune and the subsequent ones. This will be my last video for a few weeks as I am waiting on new recording gear and -- hopefully -- my new Truth kit may also be completed. Notes: 0:13 - 0:17 -- Fill-in modified 1:37 - 1:39 -- Cymbal orchestration changed 2:43 - 2:45 -- Extra bass drums added (the sequence is one quarter, two eighths, three eighth-note triplets and four sixteenths) 3:00 -- Hi-hat strikes complement vocals 3:01 - 3:25 -- Since the second time through is played lower on the guitar, I ride on the low-pitched crash cymbal. The pattern is very slightly altered; I had a hard time remembering everything on the first tour and actually wrote the kicks down on my snare head with a Sharpie marker, heh 3:31 -- Kicks inserted between rimshots 4:05 - 4:07 -- Kicks obviously lock in with vocals 4:49 - 4:55 -- Again, kicks match vocals Full drum set transcription: .
