Alice in Wonderland (1949) — Phantomwise Reconstruction v1.1

This version of the 1949 Alice was painstakingly edited together by my partner, Phantomwise. She deserves huge thanks for her efforts on this! Eventually, Thunderbean Animation will be releasing a high-quality Blu-ray of this film, sourced from a 35mm print at the MoMA that also contains deleted scenes. However, even though preorders were opened last year, updates since then have been scant, and we have no idea when it might be released. We decided to put this together so that we have something better than the poor copies floating around in the meantime. This version of the film has been put together from 3 sources, 2 of which I transferred from VHS tapes: • 1992 Monterey Home Video VHS — This is the best quality copy of the English version of the film currently available, surpassing all DVD versions we’ve seen. It is the commonly-available 76-minute cut. • 1990 Kids Klassics/GoodTimes Home Video VHS — This is a different 63-minute cut of the English version of the film. It
