Pine, Douglas Fir, and Plywood showed similar and impressive results. But could the LSTS handle Bubinga with a cut of 1mm?? I set the positioner at 4mm ( 1mm for the cut 3mm for the blade ) and made the cut. I encountered 2 problems . First, the stock was a bit short so it dropped into the blade opening ( a zero tolerance table insert would fix this ) and 2, the rip blade was too aggressive for the thin cut that I wanted.
