Storm Babet wreaks havoc in rare red weather warning

Storm Babet wreaks havoc across Scotland, which has seen the first red weather warning in several years. Footage shows a tree snapped in half in Brechin and strong waves lashing Stonehaven Harbour. Extreme weather conditions have seen heavy and persistent rainfall across south Aberdeenshire and Angus. A woman’s body has been recovered from a river in Angus after the 57-year-old was swept into the Water of Lee at Glen Esk at 1pm. Police Scotland have urged people to stay at home and avoid travel.
