History of Israel & stolen land of Palestine by Israeli historian Professor Ilan Pappe

This conference was on September 19, 2012 in Australia. followed by Q/A session. ---------------------- Pappe was born to a German Jewish family in Haifa, Israel. His parents fled Nazi persecution in the 1930s. At the age of 18, he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces, serving in the Golan Heights during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Pappe has been described as one of the Israeli “new historians“. A group of historians who are so-called because of their writings, based on access to material released, by the British and Israeli archive, in the 1880’s. He was formerly a senior lecturer in political science at the University of Haifa (1984-2007) and chair of the Emil Touma Institute for Palestinian and Israeli Studies in Haifa (2000-2008).
