’Le reflet de la vie’ / ’A Mirror to Life’ [Eliane de Latour, 2007]

This film participants, whose social origins are highly diverse, are all over 85 years old. They live alone, or almost so. European society is increasingly made up of old people who have no time for thr old and see youth as a cardinal virtue. The “useless” are set aside. Anything to do with old age is considered repellent and we build, with masochistic care, an image of the rejection that one day will be our lot.
