A trade in foods; salted, dried and pickled, and stored safe in cold, dark cellars is what he leans on, as well as the mark made of medallion to bind a man to his barter. This is how Murkhaz has risen, his clan coming from small Marcher stock and making themselves lords of the bargains crossing the White River Running, making them close friends of the Kvadaroz and their war-mongering.
