Nikoli had long since gone, fighting in the frontlines just beyond the fold. Although she gave her heart to the Darkling, her love for Nikoli lingered. Jealousy and control ruined the Darkling and Nerys’ love. An amplifier was gifted to the girl and embedded within her in the form of a small chained bracelet.
