Animal from Wendy McNeill’s For the Wolf a Good Meal

In the song ’Animal’ I’m singing from the perspective of one of the ’bad guys’ from my album, “For the Wolf, a Good Meal“ (2011). Most of the story that weaves through that album takes place near and under the sea, so when the brilliant French photographer Vinciane Verguethen was visiting Stockholm I brought her down to the water on Djurgården to try to catch the feel of that dark but hopeful tale. Fellow musicians from the album- Andreas Nordell and Erik Nilsson also joined in the fun. Here are a few shots from that day, almost a decade ago, where we caught a bit of magic. And below are the lyrics. My latest album, ‘Hunger Made You Brave,’(2018) picks up where the story of ‘For the Wolf, a Good Meal’ ended and continues up into the stars.
