Top Googled Games in Europe Timelapse

The top googled game (or game series) in each European country, month by month from 2004 to December 2022. Data was taken from Google Trends (). I have done my best to check it, but the API can be a bit unreliable, so take it with a grain of salt. I used “Search topics“, which are bundles of relevant searches from all languages. I generally used the name of the series, that is, “Grand Theft Auto - Video Game Series“ rather than the individual games. In the video I however show relevant releases to help understand the patterns. I chose games that appeared on best seller lists, and asked the community to help out with more tips, resulting in a list of over 100 games. Go to the community tab to see the list and discussion!
