Restoration of RUINED Cossack Shashka - My Worst Idea to RESTORE This

Hello folks! Today I will show you a great restoration of the cossack shashka of the sample of 1881. The condition is terrible! When I first saw this sword , I asked, what is there to restore? But as practice shows, the world is waiting for new achievements from me and I am starting this unreal restoration! The first step is to weld rotten metal. But how?! There the thickness at the edges was less than 0.5 mm… It took a huge amount of time. I started to brew the hole, then sanded it, then again, and so on indefinitely. After welding, I moved on to cleaning the blade. But very carefully, because it is thin and I could create new problems for myself-tasks. I cleaned the dirtiest places with sand at low pressure.
