Wolves in winter because of lack of food they target big prey like horses and cow . Horse are strong and dangerous prey for wolf. Wolves hunt in pack to increase the efficiency and to hunt down big prey . Horses are in pack in wild. And most of the time they threaten by wolves when they are alone . Wolves prefer old horses or youths . wolf try to avoid health horse or stallion because wolf risk to get injury or even to killed by stallion.
