The Drummer’s ‘Dirty Rave’ EP on Arkham Audio’s Arkham XXX offshoot with a searing mix of warped synth motifs, unrelenting drum pressure and bristling percussive energy. The German-born, Dortmund-based hard techno titan Per Pleks then remixes the track. His version is even more intense, with walls of rusty and rattling drums washing over the dance floor in waves. Dark sirens add edge as synths slash through the mix before Uncertain pairs things back with funky techno drums, skewed synth stabs and ice-cold hi-hats. Then comes the brilliant ’Dirty Squat Rave’, which is a throwback to the hard days of techno with its flat-footed kicks and menacing synths screwing their way through the mix. It’s an uncompromising track that will sweep aside anything in its wake. Bristol’s underground stalwart Joe Farr follows and reimagines the track, bringing plenty of swing to his loopy and captivating rework. ’Kids On Pills’ is the final original from . It’s a turbulent peak-time banger with more industrial synth lines weaving through huge hi-hats and slamming drums. Lukas then remixes this one with even more urgency and a sense of synth terror. .
