6.1 magnitude earthquake registered in Bogota and Meta, Colombia

This Thursday, August 17, 2023, a strong tremor was recorded in Colombia. Despite the fact that the epicenter of the telluric movement was in Meta, the inhabitants of Cali reported that they strongly felt the earthquake that caused panic in different cities of the country. Local media report that some buildings in the capital were evacuated, as well as those located in the town of Villavicencio, in the department of Meta.
