Mendelssohn - Song Without Words. Op 30, no. 6

As a thank you for making the Chopin Nocturne video such a success, please enjoy the sheet music of this piece for free! It has a little explanation of how to do the trills also :) Here is another famous Romantic piece that Tárrega had arranged, and I added my own input, particularly with the trills. I believe that if the technique of the cross-string trill were around in Tárrega’s day, he would have used it liberally. To me, the ability to sustain a trill and even shape it dynamically is a valuable tool in arranging certain piano pieces. I recorded this at the same time I recorded the Raindrop prelude, and really liked the sound of the guitar down a 1/2 step, so I kept it there!
