Restoration of Caucasian SHASHKA - RETURN to Serve

Hello folks! Today I will show you a restoration with a very interesting ending and a test. This thing is called a Caucasian-style shashka (to make it clearer, but this is not a saber), in this style the handle is sheathed to the pommel necessarily. Well, let’s start restoring the item! The first duty, I dismantled something similar to the “handle“ and placed the blade in a rust remover. After cleaning, I found interesting ornaments on the blades and began careful manual grinding. After that, I moved on to lengthening the shank, because it broke during the grinding process (by the way, very well) because I made a new and more reliable one. Then completion, I moved on to creating a handle made of beech wood. After shaping the handle I needed, I glued it together and used wooden pins.
