Russian Train Derails After Hitting Explosive Device, Blasts In Kyiv, T-90 Tanks Seen In Mariupol

A Russian freight train derailed on May 1 after an explosive device detonated in the Bryansk region, the local governor said. Locals in Kyiv reported that they heard explosions in the Ukrainian capital overnight on May 1. Ukraine said its air defence units shot down 15 out of 18 air-launched cruise missiles of the Х-101/Х-555 type. Ukraine said Russia’s large-scale missile strikes across the country injured nearly 34 civilians. Ukrainian authorities said. Ukraine said its forces killed over 450 Russian soldiers over the past day. Kyiv said its Air Force launched four strikes on Russian personnel clusters and downed an Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Russia said its forces destroyed two Ukrainian strongholds and eliminated up to 20 Ukrainian troops in the southern region. Meanwhile, Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin said losses in Bakhmut are five times higher than necessary. Ukraine’s military said the strike against an oil depot in Crimea was part of preparations being done for the counter-offensive.
