Animal Hotel (1953)

London Airport. A York transport plane comes to a standstill on the tarmac. The doors are opened to show several crates of monkeys inside. The crates are put onto wagons and taken to the animal hotel (quarantine building). The monkey crates are unloaded. Women put trays of nuts and monkey food into the crates and the creatures grab at it. A sick monkey is carried into a surgery room. An RSPCA man wipes the monkey with cotton wool. The monkey is then carried into another room and put into a straw-bedded cage. An electric fire is placed in front of the cage. Note: several news cuttings on file.
