Full title reads: “London calling Tokyo. Postmaster-General inaugurates new telephone service to Japan“. London. Panning shot of group of men wearing headphones attached to a radio transmitter. We hear voice of Sir Kingsley Wood, Postmaster-General, asking to be connected to His Excellency, Minister of Communications in Tokyo. We hear the Japanese minister replying. Japan. M/S of rickshaws riding past pagodas. London More shots of men in headphones, including Japanese man (translator? ambassador?). We hear minister of communications speaking in Japanese. Sir Kingsley replies, thanking the minister of communications for helping in establishment of service. He goes on to say some words in Japanese. The Japanese man says some words of thanks.
