Zbrush 4R7 Tutorial - Hard Surface Techniques 2 - Sci-Fi Gun In this tutorial we’re going to further explore hard surface sculpting techies Zbrush has to offer. Based on the sketch­mesh we’re going to learn how to generate clean low poly geometry with topology brush and explore some of the new tools introduced in Zbrush 4 R7. We will use Zmodeller to quickly generate polygroups, see some ways of managing a model with a lot of parts and use panel loops to quickly split mesh into panels. We will also take a look at some of the Zmodeller functionality beyond plain polymodeling and learn how to use this new crush with conjunction with new DynamicSubdiv feature to preview high poly mesh while retaining easy ­to modify low poly cage underneath it. Lastly we’ll decorate our gun with some of the built in IMM brushes and use some custom alpha brushes to create more details and bring the design to the finished state.
