Let’s Paint a worn out 3-Tone German Camouflage on Panther D Tank (Tamiya 1/35)
This step by step video is about how I painted my Tamiya Panther D in 1/35th scale with a worn out, distressed german ww2 three tone camouflage. For this I used Tamiya Paints and a lot of Chipping Medium by Vallejo. To me the hours of airbrushing was worth the effort.
I also show how I prepared the model for painting with cleaning it, using Tamiya Metal Primer and priming it with Vallejo Hobby Paint rattle can primer.
The flaked off Zimmerit areas were painted in oxide primer fashion.
I also made a two tone metal chipping. I started with a lighter sponge chipping, and then filled the lighter chipps with dark metal chipps by brush.
Bare metal parts were painted for later enamel and oil paint weathering wich will part of the next episode.
And I apply decals with Revell decal softener and decal fix by AmmoMig.
I hope this step by step guide is helpfull for one or two of you and I can show some techniques for beginners and veterans. Please let me know what you think about it. I would love to read your feedback and cronstuctive criticism. And if you liked what you saw, please consider supporting me by subscribing.
