How to Needle Felt a Little Robin with the Woolly Felters

Needle felt a festive friend! We love the versatility of needle felting and the incredible range of animals and birds that can be made. If you prefer this more lifelike look, study the real thing first. Take photographs or do some helpful sketches. We always make clay models before starting which helps us to understand the shapes that make up the project. Birds are delicate and therefore require a light touch with the colour and finish. To help the realistic look our robin has a polymer clay beak and wire legs.
