Thirsty possum having a drink in Melbourne’s heatwave

I was driving along a road in Melbourne and spotted this little ringtail possum on the ground dehydrated and really struggling to survive in the 40 degree Celsius heat. After drinking a whole bottle of water she managed to climb up the tree and back into her nest. Please keep an eye out for any wildlife that may be suffering during the heat of the day over summer.
