Earls Court, London. GV. Ext. main entrance to Earls Court hall, exhibition being advertised by hoarding which says ’DAILY EXPRESS FURNITURE EXHIBITION’. GV. Int. exhibition hall. GV. One of the stands in the exhibition. Various shots of some of the pieces of furniture on display being demonstrated by salesmen and models. MS. Pan with sweep as he sits down on sofa and places his bag of soot on the sofa, a girl brings him a cup of tea which he drinks and goes away, girl comes back and wipes the soot from the sofa with a damp cloth. MS. Girl and baby boy demonstrating a child’s chair. MS. Mattress being demonstrated by having two mechanical rollers pushed over it. MS. Girl seated on sofa, she gets up converts the sofa into a bed and starts to undress, dissolve to the girl now wearing a night dress getting into the bed. (Mute Orig. Neg.)
